Our city is embedded into a wonderful landscape. The castle forest was already mentioned. Around the old castle the masters of Dinklage and the earls von Galen planted as forward-thinking owners large areas with indigenous deciduous and coniferous woods. We the descendants profit from that because on forest paths and nature trails and through long tree avenues every walk, hike, every cycle tour and even hard jogging becomes an experience.

Agriculture plays a large role around Dinklage. In the town's six farmsteads you'll find old farms in typical Olderburg half-timbered style as well as modern plants and stables. We are in the centre of German refining processing. Livestock keeping is here written in capital letters. Our farmers also take care that the cared for culture landscape is preserved.

Green in the city: Everywhere you'll find small copses, need beds, places to linger. If you prefer a bit more calmness then stroll around the Bürgerpark along 'Pastor's Gräfte' or just watch the anglers in the 'Wild Pool'. Last but not least the street in the residential areas around the city centre. Lots of small meeting points with benches and tables have been created by citizens, green areas with colourful flowers, bushes and trees inclusive. If you take a seat here you'll find contact to other people in our city fast.
