The heart of the city Dinklage

Three places in the centre: Already in 1988 Dinklage started with a comprehensive renovation of the city centre. A beautiful centre developed, where three places characterise the picture: The 'Alte Markt' is the actual 'heart' of the historical Dinklage. It is tightly surrounded by business premises. At bit more 'open' is the town hall place where farmers' markets, fairgrounds and other great events take place today. Once a year – end July – more than 1000 marksmen (male and female)of the Dinklage shooting club parade here. On normal working days you just park your car there and in no time your are on the way to your favourite shop.
'Rathausplatz' - the largest free space in the village centre. Every Thursday ca. 2pm it is the focal point when traders from near and far offer their fresh produce at the farmers' market.

Parking problems – a foreign thing in Dinklage. The third largest place in the centre the 'Place d'Epouville' takes care of that. It is named after the Dinklage twin town Epouville in Normandy. By the way all places are interconnected with the city centre this way they can beached on foot very quickly.
City development that meant for Dinklage modern rebuilding of whole parts of roads and the construction of lots of commercial housing. The old basic structure was preserved as much as possible. Some things as for example the constructing of arcades along the Langen Straße, will prevail in time others like the friendly and casual development around the Rathausplatz, is more or less finished.
