Working where one lives. The city of Dinklage together with the local trade and industry businesses, with merchants and entrepreneurs strive to realise that aim. With success because local businesses offer lots of jobs. The branches are wide ranging. Larger companies work for example in the areas of metal, polymer and wood processing. They are specialised in the fabrication of high quality drills, industrial filter systems, car and machine equipment as well as special furniture and wood interior for apartments, companies and ships. In regular intervals Dinklage's companies present themselves at regional exhibitions or national and international fairs. Every few years the Dinklage industrial exhibition gives an impression of the local businesses' capacity.
Of prime importance for Dinklage was the construction motorway 'Hansalinie' in the 60ties. The city's location in close proximity to this arterial road lead to an important economic upturn; this good traffic connection also to the airports in Bremen and Münster/Osnabrück is an important argument, in regards to the topic 'company settlement'.
